The short version
We collect very little, and we want to be exact about the little we collect.
Reading this site. Nothing is collected. We run no analytics, set no cookies, and load no third-party scripts. Your browser contacts our servers and no one else’s.
Contacting us. If you use the contact form, we keep what you send — your name, your email, and what you wrote. If you go through the guided conversation, we also keep the conversation itself, and we send what you typed to OpenAI, which summarises it and gives us a read on what you might need. That summary is stored alongside your message.
The newsletter. When it launches, subscribing means giving us your email so we can send you things you asked for. Nothing more.
What we don’t do. We don’t sell your information — to anyone, for any price. We don’t use it to train AI models. We don’t track you across the web, build a profile of you, or share your details with advertisers.
If you want out. Email info@liquidbook.com and we’ll delete the record we hold on you.
The rest of this page says the same thing in more detail. It is longer because detail is the point, not because anything changes.
1 · Who we are
LiquidBook is a web development and AI workflow consultancy based in Portland, Oregon, operating at www.liquidbook.com. LiquidBook is a sole proprietorship — Felipe Lujan-Bear, doing business as LiquidBook.

2 · What we collect
There are three ways we might receive information from you, and no others.
2.1 Reading the site — nothing
We do not collect anything when you read. Specifically:
- No analytics. No Google Analytics, no Vercel Analytics, no measurement of any kind.
- No cookies. This site sets none. There is no consent banner because there is nothing to consent to.
- No third-party scripts. No tag managers, heatmaps, session replay, error reporting, chat widgets, or embeds.
- Self-hosted fonts. Our typefaces are served from our own servers, so your browser never contacts a font provider.
- Images through our own servers, not fetched from anywhere else by your browser.
The practical result: you can read every page of this site without your browser contacting any host but ours.
2.2 Contacting us
Our contact page offers a short guided conversation, and a plain “just send an email” option underneath it. Both end in the same place.
What you type: your name, your email address, and your message.
If you use the guided conversation, we also keep:
- The conversation itself — the full exchange, our side and yours.
- A summary and assessment produced by an AI model. When you answer the open question, the text you wrote is sent to OpenAI, which returns a structured read: an approximate organisation size, a summary of what you appear to need, an estimate of scope, and an internal indication of how well the enquiry fits what we do. That assessment is stored with your enquiry and is used to prioritise and prepare a reply.
Two things about the AI step that we would rather state than have you discover:
- It happens when you answer the open question, before you give your name or email. If you start the conversation and leave without submitting anything, the text you typed has still been sent to OpenAI. Your name and email are never sent — they are collected later and stay with us.
- The assessment is a machine’s first impression, and a person reads every enquiry regardless. It routes and prepares; it does not decide. If you think it read you wrong, say so and we will correct the record.
What we do not collect, at all: your IP address, your browser or device details, where you came from, what pages you visited, or any tracking identifier. None of it is captured by our code anywhere in the process.
2.3 The newsletter
The newsletter is not yet running. When it launches, subscribing will mean giving us your email address so that we can send you what you asked for, and every message will carry a one-click unsubscribe.
We will name the provider on this page when it is wired, before the first message goes out.
3 · What we do with it
- Reply to you, and prepare properly before we do.
- Keep a record of the conversation so that a later exchange doesn’t start from zero.
- Send the newsletter, once there is one, to people who asked for it.
That is the complete list.
We do not sell your personal information. Not to data brokers, not to advertisers, not to anyone, and not under any relabelling of the word “sell.” If that ever changes, this page changes first.
We do not use your information to train AI models. Your message is sent to OpenAI to be read and summarised, and that is the whole of its involvement. We do not contribute your data to any training corpus, our own or anyone else’s.
4 · Who else sees it
We use a small number of service providers, and each one sees only what its job requires.

If a message to you fails to send, a copy of your enquiry may be recorded in our internal operations channel or server logs so that we can find it and respond rather than lose it.
No one else. We do not share your information with advertisers, data brokers, partners, or affiliates, and we have no arrangement under which anyone could obtain it.
5 · How long we keep it
Enquiries are kept until you ask us to delete them, or until we delete them ourselves. There is no automatic expiry.
We would rather say that plainly than claim a retention schedule we do not operate. At the volume we work at, an enquiry from two years ago is context, not clutter.
If you ask us to delete your data, we delete the record we hold — your message, the conversation, the assessment, all of it. Two caveats we would rather state than gloss:
- An email we already sent, or received, exists in a mailbox and deleting our record does not unsend it.
- If a copy was written to our operations log during a delivery failure, that copy is separate from the main record.
We are working toward a single action that reaches all of it. Until then, we do the work by hand and we would rather you knew that than assume otherwise.
6 · Your choices
- Ask what we hold. Email info@liquidbook.com and we will tell you.
- Ask us to correct it, including the AI assessment of your enquiry.
- Ask us to delete it, per section 5.
- Unsubscribe from the newsletter, once it exists, from any message it sends.
You do not need to cite a law to make any of these requests, and we do not require you to explain why.
7 · State and international privacy rights
Oregon’s Consumer Privacy Act took effect on 1 July 2024. A practice our size may sit outside some of its thresholds; we intend to honour access, correction, and deletion requests regardless, and to do the same for residents of other states with comparable laws.
This site is operated from the United States and information you send is processed here. Our providers maintain their own international transfer frameworks.
8 · Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, and our providers maintain their own. Contact enquiries are transmitted over signed, rate-limited channels and stored in a system that does not expose them publicly.
9 · Children
This site is intended for a professional, general-adult audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect children’s information. If you believe a child has sent us something, contact us and we will delete it.
10 · AI-generated media
We publish AI-generated illustrations alongside our writing. These are editorial images and may depict stylised or invented scenes; unless stated, they do not depict real people, organisations, or events. We label them where feasible and credit sources where applicable.
11 · Links to other sites
Our articles link to other websites, which have their own privacy practices and are not governed by this page.
12 · Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The date at the top changes when we do, and if a change materially affects what we collect or who sees it, we will say so rather than let the date carry the news.
